    I set up my son's xbox incorrectly by using my microsoft account but with his age etc, so now I can't set up a "parent" - how do I fix this?

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    You can definitely do this, D4wn20. You just need to set your account as Home Xbox on the console in that way all profiles that will use your console will have access to your games and subscriptions.

    1. Sign in to your account.

    2. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    3. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

    4. Check "Make this as My Home Xbox".

    Have you updated to the latest dashboard? The transfer software is built into the latest version.

    i have just pulled everything out of it wires, h/d ect and its working now thanks for your help.

    Have you tried starting it up without the hard drive in? If it works correctly without it in, then we know the drive is at fault.
