Set "difficulty" of Microsoft Solitaire to mimic difficulty posed by an actual deck of cards

Together with the different difficulty levels that provides a solvable deck of the selected difficulty, you can always select "random" that will provide the real experience since it is like shuffling a real deck and you never know the outcome.

Win a game in that difficulty is always hard and you need to use the cards carefully.

Is this happening with a daily challenge?

Under Game Options you'll be able to check if your deck difficulty is remembered for Klondike, Spider, Freecell ... that leads me to believe that difficulty settings are not available for Pyramid and Tripeaks.
