When the first real smart phones came out which were the iPhone's (blackberry and such were more pda with email access with limited apps)

It crashed at&ts edge network and they didn't fix it till 3g came out.

Either you will have latency on consoles or the connection wouldnt be great as many find out when using a vpn

They can be sued, and your account and hardware banned for doing so

It's not just a simple switch Microsoft has to flip. It also doesn't guarantee Microsoft will make Xbox available there. Iran is still not supported by Xbox. http://xbox.com/regions

I wouldn't say blocked, just "not avaliable" atm, and I do not know when and if Iran will get Live Services.
