    Service registration is missing or corrupt


    Hi there,

    I recently updated Sea of Thieves on the microsoft store. When I updated it, my computers time was incorrect as I had travelled overseas. After updating, the game would run for a few seconds before closing. I tried troubleshooting with the forums and tried changing the time, language, and region but it didn't work. After I tried this, the app refused to open.

    I ran the windows store apps diagnostic and it now says "Service registration is missing or corrupt". How do I fix this, and get the game to open properly?

    I'm having the same problem since the last Windows Update. After running diagnosis it says: Service registration is missing or corrupt. Anyone knows how to fix this? How can I reset the service registration?

    Cannot log in to the PC game pass app.

    I also ran the windows store apps troubleshooter and the two errors that came up were

    -Hanging or crashing apps

    -service registration is missing or corrupt

    No advice on how to resolve these two issues though.

    I'm having this exact problem and I ran the diagcab. It found four problems, of which it solved two.

    It could not fix 'Service registration is missing or corrupt' (shows a red cross) and it did only establish that 'Windows Store-configuration is possibly corrupt' (shows a yellow exclamation mark).

    It fixed 'Several security settings are missing or were changed' and 'Windows Store-cache is possibly corrupt' (those show green checkmarks).
