    So was excited to play gears yesterday on my xbox one via backwards compatibility, and the lag is just ridiculous. just pointing this out to bring to your attention. Im sure your still working out kinks and such but its unplayable server lag heavily since backwards compatible :( please fix

    Opinion: Xbox should make Backwards Compatibility a priority with next generation console.

    They've already heavily hinted that games and accessories will be backward compatible going forward. There is even talk of forward compatibility to an extent.

    I've been having this problem lately regardless of the version of the game I have. Meaning, it's happening both on the digital AND the disc version of the game on both X360 AND X1. This is getting pretty bad, especially since this was one of the titles advertised
    heavily for Backwards Compatibility.

    Call of Duty servers are loaded more heavily than they are prepared for due to the large amount of people. As the number of players evens out and the servers adjust, lag should decrease a bit. Happens every year.

    No. Since the Kinect hardware was not backwards compatible, the games are not backwards compatible.
