Serious Xbox Adaptive Controller Issue

Hi! Im Logan and I have had a recurring and debilitating (no pun intended) issue with the Xbox adaptive controller.

For starters I picked up an adaptive controller back in May of 2019. I thought it would be an amazing way to get back into gaming, so I bought some buttons and a Logitech joystick (all from the adaptive controller site) to get myself started. After wiring everything up and inputting my configuration I immediately noticed a problem. The controller (or the console) was acting like it had sticky buttons. Whenever I would press a button that was not ABXY or Trigger/Related buttons; like the thumbstick or D-Pad it would just zoom through the menu to whatever side I pressed. I was concerned because this would make most games impossible to play. Sure enough I would get into a game and turn on the adaptive controller and my character would spin wildly, and in other test runs would jump and shoot uncontrollably. I even ordered a new controller with no resolve. So I put it away for a while as I saw other people having the same issue with no resolve. It was definitely something I didn't want to give up on though.

A few months passed and I had the idea to play with just the standard controller and the adaptive controller. I realized I could use my residual limb for the right thumbstick, and change the buttons to my feet (no need for an additional joystick). I would use A/B on the adaptive as RT/RB and the D-Pad as ABXY. This actually turned out to work, and I tried to give it a shot. But because I am using my feet to play, ABXY were unreliable. They functioned as pressed but I have big feet so it, again, made it nearly unplayable.

Fast forward to today, and I had high hopes. I had just ordered and received the Logitech Adaptive Kit with all the buttons and switches. I hooked it up, and kept the default configuration as I would only plug X to X, Y to Y, etc... A and B are just A and B on the Adaptive Controller now. I booted up Fallout and everything seemed to be working fine until I pressed B to open the Pip boy, and noticed RT did not cycle the menus. I pressed the home button and the sticky keys were back. I go back to the game and the joysticks seem to have no issues in game, but I can't shoot or change the menu or aim. So I powered it off feeling defeated. I looked again at forums, only finding mutual disappointment in others.

But, I am persistent. I wanted to find the root of the issue so I can get this fixed for me and others. I boot my Xbox back up, turn on fallout again AND IT WORKS FINE. I was so surprised and happy because I had not gotten it to work ever. I can run, shoot, I tested every function on every game I had and I was so happy. But I wasn't convinced. I turned it off again and turned it back on. The problem arose once more. I have since rebooted several times and tried several games, and honestly I have to say it's just inconsistent. It doesn't always do sticky buttons for the D-pad or any of the buttons. Sometimes it starts off fine then breaks down. I wish I could say there was 1 specific issue but I can't narrow it down. All I can say is there's a serious issue with the copilot feature, because it does work fine on its own although I don't want to play with just the adaptive controller.

Please help!!! I will be checking this regularly and will reply to any responses so I can get this fixed for myself and other disabled gamers.
