Series X won’t power on in my house (UK) but will in other people’s

Hello.

My Xbox Series X won’t power on but only in my house (UK).

Due to other commitments, it hadn’t been played in a couple months. Tried to switch on recently and got no response. Have tried in various plugs and different circuits in the house (upstairs, downstairs, kitchen etc). Tried unplugging everything to isolate if any other sources had tripped.

It is out of warranty so took it to 2 reputable repair shops. I watched it power on and stay on at both locations. Neither could find a fault. I’ve tried multiple brand new figure 8 cables and it still won’t power on (after being serviced). I have taken it to other family members’ homes and it works fine. I’ve also brought a friend’s XSX to my house and theirs works fine.

Nobody else has been able to replicate my Series X not powering on.

Has anyone had this issue or can offer advice?

Since you tried to use different figure 8 cables, have you tried to use your friend's figure 8 cable that is working on his own console in your house, and see if that will work?

rumour has it that its an under powered version of the under powered series x for people that wont be able to afford the huge cost of the under powered series x.

Why does my Xbox series x 87 days old not play any disc whatsoever ?? Won’t play Xbox one game Xbox 360 dvd or Blu-ray won’t play anything it’s the 5th Xbox on the spin to do this ? What’s going on with these crappy drives and power mode ( Microsoft won’t admit there’s a massive problem with their disc drives ! That’s facts

YouTube has like 50 videos of people not being able to play a game they own on disc I think I’ll get full refund and buy PS5 no way will a Sony product not read discs

When the console worked at your friends place did you plug it into a seperate power point, and when plugged in at your house, are you using a power board with a lot of other devices connected to the same power board?

The XB1X has specific power requirements that must be met.

Try plugging the console into a separate power source (wall socket) and/or a different circuit within the house.
