Series X with Soundbar Issue

So I had an issue with the audio cutting out and decided to get a new sound bar (Samsung HW-B650) When connecting through the soundbar Dolby dts works, but the picture drops in the settings to 1080p. If I go through the arc port with the series x plugged into the TV I get 4k to work, hdr no longer does and only Dolby digital in the audio settings. Using the hdmi cable the Xbox came with and another 8k ultra hs cable. Is there a setting or something I'm missing to get this to work, thanks in advanced.

To have a better understanding, we would like to further isolate your concern.

May we ask what are the boxes ticked on your Console's Settings > General > Under the Advanced column choose Video Modes?
May we know what games you are playing when you encounter this issue?
May we ask for your TV's make and model?
May we ask for a screenshot of the issue on resolution? Please conceal personal information.
Also, do we have issues with the sound produced by the sound bar after set up?

Hi,

unfortunately the series x doesnt have an optical audio out port so that is not an option - and that also doesnt solve the issue which is specific to dolby atmos.

So according to the manual for the panasonic soundbar i need to run two hdmi cables from the xbox - one to the tv for dolby vision/ALLM and then a second one to the soundbar for the sound

Obviously theres only one HDMI out socket on the series x so i assume this is not possible?

Tried everything, still problems with sound and picture not syncing. Is this a software issue, or could it be a hardware issue as well since I just got the Xbox Series X?

EDIT: Xbox directly to TV no sound lag, but to soundbar the lag is clearly noticeable ... the soundbar in question is optical, could that be the problem? I also put my headset on my controller, this works fine too... hope to hear from you, thanks in advance...
