    Series X startup to black screen


    Hi all, I've had an issue three times now where upon startup my Series X just shows a black screen, almost like no signal is coming from the Xbox. My TV doesn't say "no source" though so I believe the Xbox is either getting stuck on the bootup screen or just not outputting an image. Unplugging and replugging the HDMI into the console or restarting the Xbox resolves the issue. This also occurs in both quick startup and power save modes. I have not had an issue like this with my PS4 or Xbox One on the same TV. Has anybody had similar experiences? This problem is not on the MS support thread of known issues with the X|S consoles.

    Edit: I reported this as a problem through Report a Problem a few days ago to see if the issue persists.

    Microsoft haven't said it is. I believe the green Xbox One startup screen will stay, and the Xbox Series X/S will get the new Xbox boot up screen.

    are you clearing the cache at startup? (hold down LB, RB, and X when the screen goes black and do not let go until the Bethesda logo appears)

    Series X does not turn off completely in Energy Saving Mode

    I can confirm I've just tested my Xbox Seried X on both modes and there is no difference between the two at the moment (it doesn't have the startup screen etc)

    I am presuming this is a bug at the moment
