Series X Slow Download Speed Over Ethernet

I have my series X wired with a cat 6 to my router, which is a 1.5 gb plan. I know the xbox can only take 1gb. Even so, when I run the network speed test in the Xbox settings, I'm getting 100mbps. Sometimes 120 Mbps sometimes 95.

When I use the edge browser on my series X and use the Ookla speed test it's showing upwards of 500-800 mbps.

I've tried the Mac reset, hard reset, different ports, nothing I've done has helped and I'm pretty much out of places to go for help. Anyone have any suggestions?

Anyone? Odd...

I'm not the only person who's experiencing exactly the same issues. This is from February 2020 until present day. It's not my ISP. When I tell you I've done everything imaginable in terms of troubleshooting, I have. All on the xbox side that one can do personally, and all on AT&T's side as well. I've always been pro XBOX and never had any real issues and love to have xbox vs. ps5 debate with a Sony owner. I'm all things Microsoft, believe me.

This on the other hand, is something that if you look and dig for in forums, you'll notice a lot more prevalent as you continue to dig. This is my only beef with Microsoft, because it's definitely microsoft. I'm saving myself the headache of typing another novel and what tests I've ran and why this is that and that is this. I've just unfortunately come to terms with the fact that there's either throttling happening within servers or something beyond my control and thinking as well as AT&T, their industry techs, and so many others who are having this problem. No explanation anywhere to answer it. With this being said, I know there's someone who undoubtedly will come along and tell me your ISP doesnt guarantee this or try to tell me to troubleshoot something they think I haven't (in the last 2 years) already tried, but simply put, I have. I just wish there was some validity as to why this has continued to happen and become permanent expectations from a company I've rocked with for so long.

First of all I have never seen anyone get 1GB speed on an Xbox. Secondly download speeds depends on how busy the server is, how many people are currently downloading and the game in question. You can choose to download off peak period to get increased speed.

It's a gigabit port is it not? I'm not saying I'm expecting a full gb, but I'm expecting more than 100 Mbps from a new console in 2021.
