Series x set as dmz and nat open keeps changing to strict upnp unsucsessful

1st check I was open. Recent check was strict. Turned upnp off in my router, applied, rebooted. Turned upnp back on & also set DMZ to my One IP address, rebooted. Checked again, open nat.

No. He said he tried UPnP and port forwarding. Not DMZ and Not NAT Filtering set to open.

I've delt with netgear routers a bunch they have a setting for nat (view previous post) that when its set to secured it will cause moderate/strict nat If he puts his router to its defualt settings and then switches "NAT Filtering" to open he will have open
NAT with this router.

As long as NAT Filtering is set to Secured he will get Moderate/Strict NAT. NAT filtering prevents information from using the ports needed even with UPnP On.

no i have tried that. opening ports gives me a live connection error, turning on upnp gives me strict nat. i have also tried the dmz method but that also gives me a strict nat.

If you are sure your modem is just "a modem" and your Linksys has the latest firmware with UPnP=enabled with your Xbox ip address set to auto (no forwarding set-up and no DMZ) and it does not give you an open nat then please follow this guide:-

ok after having my xbox 360 in dmz i put the one in dmz still strict nat took it back out got an open nat shut xbox down and restarted now i have a moderate nat says its behind a upnp port restricted nat have turned upnp off rebooted router turned upnp on
