My internet speed is 1Gbps and my series x is plugged into the router via ethernet. But, My series x is only getting 200mbps with nobody on any devices and no games running in the background. Additionally, the latency on my series x never gets below 60ms whilst my other devices get as low as 9 ms. How do I fix this speed discrepancy on my series x.

At this time, dynamic backgrounds are only available on the Series S/X and can't be customized. If the video you saw was done on a One, then the person doing it is doing something that violates the terms of service.

If you are on a Series S/X, when you go to settings and change your background, there's a section for dynamic backgrounds.

Online gaming on a console and a PC can have two types of latency:

Lag is when we are referring to internet connection/server latency. Owning the latest Xbox Series X|S won't fix this, if that's where the problem is.

Framerate and framerate drops are console hardware game specific. If the game is designed to run at 60fps, but there is a lot of things going on on screen this will result in dropped frames and can be seen during play as a stutter/judder, screen tearing and reduced controller responsiveness.

The Series X (and even the Series S) have much more capable hardware and generally won't drop frames in heavy area's like the now quite old Xbox One S does.

That's not how it works. The game may be running at 30 fps but the display - regardless of what it is - will still be running at 60Hz.

This is my bugbear with 30 fps games. The screen refreshes at 60Hz, but the game is running at 30 fps. This can and does cause a judder effect. The only way to completely remove this judder is to use a motion blur. I hate motion blur.

What do I think of 30 fps? It's okay, and understandable considering the low power nature of the Xbox One's CPU, an issue only slightly improved with the Xbox One X. I can stand it, but its not ideal for me anymore.

I'm pretty much a PC gamer now and I play at 60 fps minimum.

However, I think 30 fps may be consigned to history with the Series X.
