Series X Screen goes black while playing video

I have the same problem. It's happened quite a few times.

Series X and Lg CX.

Watching Netflix, the screen goes black. I still see the Netflix interface and if I back out of the video, I get back to the Netflix selection screen. Pressing the home button takes me back to the Xbox dash board. Going back into the video, it plays for 2 seconds, and then black screen again. At first I thought it was Dolby Vision, so I disabled that, and still black screen. Changed it from 120hz to 60hz, black screen. I ended up closing the Netflix app from the Xbox Dashboard and it seems to be working fine now.

I'm pretty tech savvy, so I can troubleshoot, but for someone that isn't, this is horrible. Especially after paying money for this thing. It should just "work"

When playing games on the XBOX series X connected to an LG 4K TV, the screen continually goes black although the game is still playing and controls still work. I have reset the console, sent the console back to microsoft, tried different cables (that all work perfectly on my PS5) and video setting all with no luck. This has been happening since I bought the system in June of 2021. There is obviously an issue with the XBOX series X as I did not have this issue with previous XBOX or PlayStation systems. I am very disappointed with the new system and would not recommend it to anyone until this issue is resolved.

I recently got my Series X, same thing happens, remote play doesnt work when TV is off, after spaceship loading screen, it goes to black screen, then after a minute or so, it disconnects.

Only difference for me is that, PC, Android and iOS doesnt work.

When TV is on, it works perfectly, what gives?

first thank you for replying it doesn't switches to black screen it automatically switches off the screen while my laptop is on and when i press power button several times it goes to lock screen. I am facing problems in both while in gaming while watching videos or while doing other things and i m not playing games in xbox i play games in launcher like bluestacks,gameloop,ld player

Check if your cable is conected corectly, maybe your cable is broken so wswap it fo another, if this doesnt helps you out, try to put the cable in another HDMI port on your tv. If this doesnt solves the problem try with the component cables (red white and
yellow cable) if it still happens your TV or xbox console is broken
