Series X|S HDR at 1440p and 1080p

Discus and support Series X|S HDR at 1440p and 1080p in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; Is there any possible way for HDR to activate when running at 1080p or 1440p?     Series X|S HDR at 1440p and 1080p


    Is there any possible way for HDR to activate when running at 1080p or 1440p? I believe Playstation allows this at 1080p but I cannot figure out how to do it on Xbox. On the One X the HDR check box was linked to the “allow 4k” option but on the Series X it appears that both HDR and allow 4k check boxes operate independantly of one another but HDR in games is still only being activated when the 4k check box has been selected which ultimately overides the selected resolution and outputs at 4k. Someone mentioned to me that the team are looking into this, is anyone able to confirm?

    FHD HDR

    Xbox only support hdr on 4k so we that have a xbox series s and 1080p 1440p hdr 120hz screen cannot get hdr because its not 4k. On ps4 it works tho 1080p hdr.

    4K/1440p HDR

    Microsoft locked hdr to 4k so if ur monitor dont accept 4k signals ( tick allow 4k box in settings must be selected for hdr) it doesnt work on 1080p 1440p displays usually only if they accept 4k signals. Because microsoft locked it since xbox one s and
    one x. It is hard to understand why they not allow it now because they have xbox series s 1440p 120hz hdr console right?

    1080P HDR support

    Hi,

    Only the Xbox One S and the One X support HDR. HDR isn't linked to resolution, so, technically, HDR can work at 1080P. However, in the interest of not confusing consumers, Microsoft have locked HDR to 4K displays only, which is mostly industry standard
    anyway. I'm pretty sure even 1440P doesn't support HDR on One S or One X either.

    Does the 1080p support go for both the Series S and Series X, or just the Series S?
    1080p is supported by both Series X / S,

    However if your only playing at 1080p and have no plan's of upgrading to a 4K TV / Monitor, The Xbox Series S would be recommended as is a 1080p / 1440p gaming console and you would save £/$200, than getting the Series X, as that is a 4K gaming console and
    you would never get to use the full potential of it if used on a 1080p TV / Monitor.

    Why does my x box series s look terrible in game?

    The series s isn't meant to run at 4k

    1440p or 1080p at most with 60hz to 120max

    With most only supporting 60fps

    The reason why you are getting bad results is the series s can't handle 4k with hdr and vvr and you are going to drop a lot of frames because you are using the hardware past its limits

    Games will put.down the resolution as needed but you won't like the results

    The Xbox series x and xbox one x are 4k consoles
