    Series X Requires Numerous Restarts

My partner and I have a Series X and One X console. The One X runs flawlessly without any concerns whatsoever. However, the Series X interface operates atrociously.

Upon turning on the Series X console, it is always unable to open any application (updates, game pass, games, store, etc.) and requires a restart to correct the issue. Then after opening an application (a game for example), if you wish to then open another application another restart is required yet again. If you wish to update games, you have to go to the updates page, which will sit on a permanent loading ring until the console is, you guessed it, yet again restarted. This has persisted for well over 6 months now and it is becoming increasingly frustrating because the older console literally runs better.

Thus, my ultimate questions are why do I have to keep restarting my console repeatedly? And is there a planned fix for this issue?

    :)

    Series X Requires Numerous Restarts

    Hi there,

do you have any external storage devices connected?
I had issues on the dashboard once, slowness, things not updating and all kind of things and eventually I discovered that it was caused by a failing (hardware) external storage device, disconnecting it solved all issues

Did the factory reset (one which keeps the games), and it still has the same issue.

This resolved the problem, I disconnected the old hard drive and just left the new one plugged in and it's working properly now. Thank you for the help.
    You're welcome :)
