Series x remote play hdr

They both take performance hit

Anytime you don't use hdmi2.1 there isn't enough bandwidth to handle hdr content over wifi

If you want hdr why are you trying to do it not direct

Common hdmi2.1 is 45 gbps

Wi-Fi is nowhere even close to that even on the low end hdmi is 14gbps -18gbps you are never going to achieve that over wifi you nerd 14gbps to hdr at least

.when you split the display you aren't using DUAL head you have one gpu not 2

You are going to take a hit no matter what since you are asking to display in two spots

And yes remoteplay uses processing

So if you want hdr over hdmi don't split the processing powrer

Regardless of console you take a hit because you are splitting the power typically you only use one at a time

Anytime you split the power of a cpu/gpu you are going to take a hit even on super computer computing power must come from somewhere

Remote play changes the resolution and output for maximum efficiency and performance. That includes disabling HDR

You don't you take a performance hit when you use remote play on any platform including playstation

Hdr isn't possible with the performance hit

So that includes the tv correct ?tv’s take a hdr hit in remote play ,Not the phone?

I had the same / similar issue with my old 4K 60hz none HDR / HDMI 2.0 monitor when watching movies and some times in games with the Series X,

As soon as i upgraded my monitor to a 4K 144hz monitor that has HDR / HDMI 2.1 ports, i no longer had this problem,

I'm not sure what the problem is, but my guess is that the HDMI 2.1 port on Series X doesn't play well with HDMI 2.0 port of monitors, or it's the Series X trying to force HDR on, even if the monitor does not have / support HDR and the HDR in Series X menu's is turned off.
