Series x pre-order delivery

I was able to preorder a series x console when they first came available to do so. I can not find anything at all in regards to the shipping of the console, specifically i am wanting to know if my console will be delivered on the console launch day. If
this is not the case, i cant help but be frustrated, after all what would even be the point to preorder if theyre available at retailers but i have to wait a week or however long after release day just to play it. Can anyone shed light on this, if i will receive
the console on launch day?

When you pre-order, check to see if the games you want have Smart Delivery. That means you can pre-order the Xbox One version, but you'll get the Series X version for free when it launches. If that's the case, then go ahead and pre-order the One version.

Otherwise, the One games should still be improved when played on the Series X (https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2020/05/28/xbox-series-x-next-generation-backward-compatibility/)
so it's just a matter of which version you want.

If you pre-ordered from Microsoft, then barring any mishaps, it's expected to be delivered on release day.

That game is listed as for both the Xbox One and the Series X/S. Basically, you order it and then the system employs what is called "Smart Delivery" to determine which console you have and download that version accordingly. So you would play the XBox One version on your current console and then, as mentioned by the IA, if you bought a Series X or S and installed the game, it would install the "Optimised for Series X/S" version on that console

If your idea is a Series S and a digital version - which you would need for Series S as there is no Blu-ray drive - you can pre-order the game now.

Cyberpunk is a 'smart delivery' title. This means you'll get the best version of the game available for your console, this includes Series S.

If you get a Series X later, it will work on that one too.
