Series x plugged into outlet controlled by light switch, accidentally shut if off while on

It won’t cause any damage right away but It may if it will be repeated multiple times or if it will be consistent. I would recommend to make sure to properly turn off your console and to make sure that all of the cords especially the power cord is plugged in properly.

i had my power brick on my SLIM plugged into the top outlet that is controlled by my light switch,i unplugged it and plugged it into an outlet that wasnt and it works fine. Before the light on my power brick was turning red and now its green when its on
and orange when its off thanks guys.

Thanks, I will look into this. My controller is now doing this thing where it becomes unresponsive while it's still on. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work, and it has shut off a few times after doing that.

Thank you for responding. I haven't tried it wirelessly. I use the controller plugged in only because it won't stay connected to the system. That's a problem I've had with each of my wireless controllers, and I think it's because of something interfering with the signal. As for the cable I use, it's the only one I have that fits the controller.

I did a firmware update after making the post, but I haven't noticed a difference. I don'r have a headset or an adapter, so the other options are not doable.
