Series X not outputting Atmos While Gaming

I'm having the same issue. The program page says Atmos but my receiver is only getting a Dolby Surround signal (not DD+ which would indicate Atmos).

Not sure if its connected, but the Apple TV+ app on the Series X has also stopped outputting Atmos the last few months. So maybe its a more general Series X Atmos bug. Still works fine on Prime and Disney +.

I have the same problem. If I use Dolby Atmos output over HDMI there is an annoying audio delay when playing blu-ray or 4k discs. Changing the output to uncompressed 7.1 seems to fix the issue, but I would rather use Atmos. I do not have this problem with streaming, only with discs. My setup is Xbox Series X to a Marantz SR6012 via HDMI and then HDMI to a 75" TCL 6 series TV. My speaker configuration is 5.2.4.

I am having the same issue. I need to check my amazon prime app, but Disney+ outputs Atmos on my receiver. I have an Denon AVR with the Halo Xbox Series X and an LG CX. I have tried numerous settings, but can't get Atmos to output on the Netflix app. I have the right service on Netflix and the sound is on Atmos during the show. I have tried a few different programs, but it just stays on Dolby Surround

I have the same problem outputting to Onkyo LS7200 Atmos soundbar, info on player shows Dolby HD even though disc is on Atmos soundtrack. Also I think the Atmos in game has echo on the surround channels which clears up if I go to DTS output from the sound
options on the xbox x . Overall not impressed.
