    Series X Not Allowing 4k Gaming on Samsung 4k TV


    I have my Series X connected to my Samsung QN65Q6FNA model QLED TV, but when I go into the TV Details setting on the Series X, I get these contradicting details:

    TV Resolution

    Your TV supports 4k UHD at 60Hz

    Your TV doesn't support 4k UHD at 120Hz



    Playing Games

    Your TV setup supports up to native 1080p at 120 FPS

    Your TV supports HDR10 for gaming

    Your TV doesn't support Dolby Vision for gaming



    Watching movies and TV

    Your TV supports 4k 10-bit at 24Hz

    Your TV supports 4k 10-bit at 50Hz

    Your TV supports 4k 10-bit at 60Hz

    Your TV supports HDR10 video

    Your TV setup doesn't support Dolby Vision



    Capturing games

    Your TV supports capturing 4k game clips and screenshots

    Your TV supports capturing HDR game clips and screenshots





    Why would my TV support 4k for everything except playing games? Is there any way that I can play games in 4k on this? Maybe a setting or something to fix this?

    One thing you may wish to consider is the size of the TV, as there are no 4K TVs under 49" - I've got a "small" Samsung 49" 4K, and it's pretty spectacular for all things 4K.
    He could go for a 4K Gaming Monitor at 27" for around £200, If they shop around, also Black Friday deals are about a month or so away,

    I have a 4K HDR 55" Samsung which i use my Xbox One X on for 4K Blu-Ray movies and a 27" 4K Asus Gaming Monitor for Gaming on.

    My Xbox One X certainly puts out 4K HDR to my Samsung 4K TV. Not sure why you are fishing.

    The LG UHD 4K TVs are really nice and capable of running 4K for the Xbox One X. They are a little more affordable compared to Samsung.

    I personally use a Samsung 4k tv currently with my Xbox one x previously had an s and honesty I'd go with a 4k because what they don't tell you is that your tv will upscale it to 4k automatically

    There are plenty of 4k tv's on sale right now.

    Walmart has a Samsung 50" 4k TV for for $248.

    I've always had Samsung tv's and I'm quite enjoying my 85" 4k Q90T Samsung I got 2 years ago. It runs 4k at 120hz and looks amazing.
