    Hoping someone can help.

    my son was one of the lucky ones to get a series X for christmas however, after setting it up the console switched itself off and has had no power since.

    The original console was sent to Microsoft for repair under the warranty and he has since received a replacement console. I have tried to add microsoft complete for piece of mind and as we did not get a chance to do this before his original console broke. It
    would not let me do this via the store on the console despite all this still being within 45 days of purchase! I have contacted support to be told that because my son was unlucky enough to receive a broken console and has been given a replacement under the
    stabdard warranty we are now unable to purchase the microsoft complete! Surely this cannot be right? I find it absolutely disgusting that because he received a console that didnt work in the first place we are now not able to extend the warranty of his replacement.
    Does anyone know where we stand with this or have any suggestions ? Thanks

    As of the moment, on Microsoft Store it’s for Xbox Series X|S only, without an official announcement I can’t promise anything as I don’t want to provide any false hope. Let’s just wait on the game developers update as well as on Microsoft via https://news.xbox.com because as of the moment, it’s for Xbox series X|S only.

    I pre ordered my Series X through Best Buy and received it and registered it on my Microsoft account on Nov 11th.

    Just this morning I went online to Microsoft Complete warranty website and started an online chat and purchased the extended warranty through Microsoft for $49 plus tax.

    All they did was went online and saw my Series X was registered and added on the extended warranty for me.

    It is really a good deal at $49 and covers 1 console replacement and 2 controller replacements for 3 years. Best Buy warranty is $69 for 2 years and only covers 1 console replacement and 1 controller replacement.

    Unfortunately the developer only released the Xbox Series X/S version of the game

    Right now Xbox one consoles aren’t compatible with it :c
    This can’t be bypassed, right now the only way is get an Xbox Series S or X

    Yes I got it on my series X and so did a friend. I went by what he said and it was easy and quick. I went to the Microsoft complete site and at the bottom right there is a chat button I clicked on it and talked to someone.

    In about 15 minutes they added it to my account and charged me $49 plus tax and now it says I’m good till November 2023. Also received 49 rewards points.

    In your case, you will need to contact the support as they request the replacement on behalf of you!

    If you encounter any issues requesting a call back or live chat on the Xbox support website, I recommend visiting Microsoft support.

    Once you get to the virtual agent just say “Talk to an agent” and select Xbox as the product, and your issue from the list.

    Select the option “Call me back” or “Live chat”, which shows the estimated wait time/queue.
