Series x keeps shutting off due to overheating when it’s blowing out cold air

My series x has recently and unexpectedly Been completely shutting off due to “poor ventilation” despite it being completely clear of any other object and heating source, it also blows out cold air when it’s shut off, not hot air and will only last for about 10 minutes, if that before it shuts down, it doesn’t look dusty inside and I have no idea why it’s all of a sudden been happening, I’ve contacted Microsoft since it’s under warranty but they will only ship it to Germany to look at it so I want to see if there’s anything I can do before having to do that.

The power source is plugged into the wall

The series x is clean

It’s nowhere near any other objects

I’ve only had it since December 2022

You can try doing a reset on the console to see if this can help.

Let's refresh the console's system cache.

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select System.

4. Select Console info

5. Select Reset console.

6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

If this does not help, I believe that this is already a hardware problem that requires a repair. It could be the cooling system not functioning properly anymore for some reason.

It sounds like your xbox one is overheating becuase it cant get cold air in to the fan to then blow out the hot air. As that has happens to be me before. Also if the air vents are blocked and cant get cold air that can also over hear the xbox.

As long as the air that is being exhausted is warm/hot air your okay. should only be worried if it is ramping up and blowing cold air out
