Series x crashing with specific details of the issues

I first experienced this issue when playing nobody saves the world. All of a sudden the game froze and then every subsequent time I booted the game up, it would crash and force me to manually power off the console. I finished the game on my Xbox one, as reinstalling and a few other simpler solves wouldn’t work.

I began playing Modern Warfare 2 on the same console. It worked without issue throughout the whole campaign and miscellaneous warzone and multiplayer games. This was also all on a 4K tv. Suddenly I had the same type of crashing, and tried everything you can find online. Resetting console, mac address, reinstalling game, clearing local saves, new hdmi cords etc etc. After all of this, the problem would act exactly the same right after a fresh install. I gave up, and played it for a couple months on my Xbox one, which ran it slow and ugly compared to the series x. After those couple months, I deleted and reinstalled on the series x, and plugged the series x into a tv that doesn’t support 4K, and it ran perfectly and for long periods of time for a couple of months. A few nights ago, while trying to fix my “safe area” in game, as it was cutting off some of the display, the game froze up and crashed and now even after reinstalling and the other fixes, I can’t get it to work on this tv. I am trying to be as thorough as possible, as I’m sure that someone tech savvy can tell me what this is specifically and how to fix/avoid it. Sorry for the ramble. Here is a pic of what happens after the game freezes before it 90% of the time makes me manually shut off the Xbox.

The same support that will charge £285 to fix the console?

I have the same issue and it's a bit disgusting that MS want to charge over 50% the cost of the console to fix what appears to be a widely reported manufacturing issue. It's shameful

I don't believe this is a hardware issue. If it is, they need to tell us specifically what is happening that makes our Xbox faulty on only one game. Never heard of that before. Why does every other game work fine with no crashing? Only the Xbox Series X/S version of BF2042 is crashing for ppl on the Series X/S after going through all of the troubleshooting steps, different controllers (someone suggested elite series 2 is a possible cause) etc. Is EA going to address this issue or can we get a more specific technical explanation?

I’m having the same problem with my Series X and Halo. Sometimes just the game crashes, sometimes the entire console shuts down. I have tried all of the above suggestions and it still happens.

I purchased the Series X specifically for Halo. Very frustrating.

It’s crashing for me also. Booting back to the Home Screen. I have the physical disc downloaded to the Xbox One X system so it’s not a specific issue to the Series X. This will most likely have to be patched at Microsoft. The base game works only when downloaded to the system offline. The forced update while online causes it not to boot up.
