    Series X controller white noise


    My first series x controller had a faulty mini jack port. It produced a loud static and buzzing noise. This was a problem with the hardware so i got a replacement.

    On my new Series X controller the headset produces a very noticable white noise on the left side (plugged in to the mini jack on the controller). The weird thing is, when the volume is set to 90-100% in the ‘audio & music’ menu on my xbox the noise is gone
    and there is no problem. But when the volume is below 90% the left side has white noise again.

    I asked around and many of my friends who use the mini jack have this same issue.

    it looks like this is a problem in the software and not a fault in the hardware of the controller.

    i have the latest controller firmware and the new november update installed and it did not fix this.

    Is this a known issue? If not, please look in to this microsoft.

    I have the same problem. With some headphones make that noise, but with others sometimes it doesnt do it. I also hear my voice when i turn on the mic

    If you're going with a corded controller AVOID the off brand controllers. I've made this mistake in the past and there's always this white noise/static noise with he off brand controllers that will drive the people you play with crazy.

    I have the same issue. I had the machine powered off over the weekend. On turning on this evening TV has no signal. The machine does 'turn on' in that the white X light comes on but nothing on screen. The machine itself seems to emit a pulsed series of low
    noises for a couple of minutes before just stopping. Power brick is white. The controllers start the machine but keep flashing until they timeout and go dark. Can any one help. I have tried alternative HDMI cable. Different HDMI ports. Power down until brick
    goes out. Anyone?
