    Series X - Controller doesnt turn console on


    So i've had my series X for 2 weeks and love it but one thing i noticed is sometimes when i turn the controller on it does not turn the console on. Now if i turn the console on from the power button my controller connects to it instantly and if i turn the console off i can turn it back on with the controller, but then the next day i have to repeat the same steps. I've tried doing a hard reset (Hold power button for a few seconds) even re-synced the controller to the console and yet it still happens. Anyone else have this issue my console is updated to the newest firmware so just not sure what else i can do.

    Well as i expected its still doing it… i don’t understand this at all, this has to be done once a day and the next day poof it forgets to turn on via controller. Is it possible it would fix after say the next console update? I was able to turn it on via my phone on the xbox app but again for some reason with the controller the 1st time in the day it just doesnt want to turn it on i honestly dont understand this one bit Cause i turned the console off and the controller instantly turned it on so clearly there is a connection but for some reason that 1st time in the day it just wont.

    Just curious what does the first method even do to fix this issue? Also i’ll keep you updated im just heading to work so i’ll try turning it on with the controller later

    You won't need to send your console for a repair/replacement. Don't worry.

    I've noticed that the series X takes longer to respond to the controller. try holding the Home Button for maybe 10-15 seconds.
