Series x: Can't get past initial screens of watch dogs and the medium

Xbox series X

Watch dogs: start new game initial loading screen gets to 75%and freezes. Will eventually force reboot.

The medium: start game, see butterfly that turns into pulsing triangle, hit a button and game freezes until eventually showing random static

Noticing this on more series x titles is disturbing.

What I've done: reboot, hard reset, reset to factory defaults deleting / reinstall games, clear cache, clear alt Mac address, tried various resolutions and toggling hdr settings, unenrolled from alpha preview back to public build. Tried offline

All with the same result.

Wondering if anyone else has run into this. I'm thinking it may well be a hardware issue but figured I'd ask because who knows how long a repair will take.

I had tried clearing local saves but I do see it also recommends a different profile so I'll try that as well.

Hi,

The Medium is a Series X|S optimised game which can only be launched on those platforms. Some users have been experiencing problems on Xbox One generation consoles. Which console are you playing it on?

Regarding Watchdogs: You mentioned that you tried troubleshooting for several game issues, but there are a few more that you haven't mentioned, for example clearing local save data. You can find out how to do that here.

I keep forgetting about a new watch dogs game. I get excited for it, then it gets delayed, then I forget about it, then someone post about it. Maybe early 2021 or somewhere in the middle of the series x's lifespan watch dogs legion might come out.

Hi,

Ray Tracing is on a per-game basis on both the Series S and the Series X. Some games have it, some do not. If a game has Ray Tracing it will normally be in it's options menu. Some games such as Watch Dogs Legion have ray tracing enabled by default.

Unlike Series X, the S model does not have RT for some games that the Series X has.

I've explored the port forward option, and I'm considering a router upgrade. quick update, now the unit can't get past the initial boot screen. I can't believe that this is NAT related. It should at least make it to the home screen, Internet or not
