Series X blu ray player audio not working.

Regular DVD's play fine. 4K blu rays play fine but not one blu ray I own will play on this so called "blu ray" player app unless I plug my headset into my controller and use that. I see this question asked a lot and none of the fixes work. This was not a problem on my old Xbox one X version of what's assurredly the exact same app. Hey Microsoft, what the hell are you doing? You charge a lot of money for it so maybe fix your ****?

Set your audio output in settings to PCM and see what happens

Have you already tried changing your audio settings from the console if that changes anything?

Other things to try would be to reinstall your blu-ray player. If that doesn't fix the issue, our last resort is to perform a factory reset. There's an option to keep your games and apps.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? Please choose “Reset and keep my games & apps”

I got a response from Customer Service: no support for Dolby Vision on Blu-ray app on Xbox One X at the moment (not even on Xbox Series X).

They said they are working on that, since a lot of people made complaints about this issue. I hope it's true, it's ridiculous to not support Dolby Vision nowadays on a device that has been promoted as a valid Blu-ray player.
