Series S Wont download games.

I am having an issue with my Series S where I can't download games, apps or Updates. I recently Purchased Wasteland 3 and after downloading about 5 Megabytes the console tells me "installation stopped" and won't download any more. No console update is available and any apps that might help i cant download as well. I have tried Power cycling, Refreshing the console, cancelling the download and restarting it, changing the MAC address and the DNS settings and nothing is working. Is resetting it to factory settings a solution that works? Im about ready to sell this damn thing and just buy a Playstation 5.

I have just purchased the xbox one series s download code but it wont download. Keeps saying check back in a bit were having trouble getting your stuff.

As ngocphi said, he'll be able to play any digital games he has downloaded, however because the Xbox Series S doesn't have a disc drive he wont be able to play any disc based games.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Do you have an external hard drive plugged into your console? If yes, please unplug the hard drive and then perform a power cycle before attempting to install/update a game again, keep the hard drive unplugged.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If you don't have an external hard drive we may need to reset the console keeping your games and apps. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

Not necessarily. If your particular Series S game runs at 1440P and you have the display set to 1440P @60Hz then it will look far better.

there are no Series X only games.

The differnce is, that you can only play download games on the Series S.

So yes you can play that game on Series S.
