    Series S poor performance in some game?


    I need to know if some people have similar problem, In cold war the framerate is mostly stable, In zombie in the Dark aether when I go to the swamp area and I look at the purple crystal the framerate drops to the 40's. same when a megaton is using ranged
    attack. I have similar problem in multiplayer, If there is a smoke grenade and I aim directly at the smoke It drops to 45-50 fps and same thing when there is napalm strikes or missile directly on me, is it normal or should I return my series S and get a new
    one?

    Edit: when I open the xbox menu while playing cold war the framerate drops to like 30 and there is a lot of small freeze.

    depends on a number of factors

    1. best to use wired connection not wifi, regardless of speeds.

    2. depends on what game you are playing, some games stress or use all the resources of the series s and therefore you will have poor streaming performance.

    Dying Light 2 only 30 fps on Series S... What a disgrace!

    It’s not a matter of the Series S being underpowered, seeing that other games manage to get good performance, it’s the simple case of the game not being optimized properly. The series S can run this game at 1080p ( dynamic resolution) and 60fps.

    Even the performance mode on Series X is only 1080p 60fps which speaks for itself, and that is the most powerful system. It’s not a question of the series S being underpowered but the game not properly optimized. Tons of other games get great performance on the S

    But xbox one games works on series x .

    Poor Game Performance

    May seem silly, but are you sure you have your Monitor/TV plugged into the RTX 2070 and not the other HDMI on back of the machine?

    Are both PCIE power connectors plugged into the graphics card?

    Did you build this machine, or was it pre-built?

    Those frame rates are wrong as that is a very powerful gaming setup you've go though.
