Series S order

Check your order at http://account.microsoft.com and make sure you did order the Series S/X version and not the One version.

The game was not released for the One. You would need a Series S/X in order to play it. A Series S/X is not the same as a One S.

Unfortunately no. The disc is needed in the console in order to verify ownership of the game. Since the Series S doesn't have a disc drive, you would need to own the game digitally in order to play it on the Series S.

You would need to own it digitally in order to play it on the Series S. Otherwise, you need the disc in the disc drive in order to prove you own the game to be able to play it, which isn't possible on a Series S.
