Series S Notification Issue

I just purchased a series S about a week ago (10/21/2021). I set it up loaded it from the app and games are fine. However, any notifications such as my headset assignments, messages, game or party invites, all say 3H ago. even when i just get them! I called microsoft and reset the console and loaded it from scratch, and it still is an issue.

Has anyone been able to fix this?

First, welcome to the Xbox community. I believe it's a specific issue with your console, notifications usually don't delay, but when it happens it doesn't take as much time as mentioned by you. Anyway, what I can suggest to you are the solutions below.

Solution 1:

Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.

Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.

Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.

Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.

Solution 2:

Press the Xbox button.

Open Settings.

Go to Network and select Network settings.

Select Advanced settings.

Select Alternate MAC Address.

Select Clear.

Select Restart.

Solution 3:

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

Solution 4:

Try updating your console offline by following the instructions in the article below.

Dear Microsoft, I have the same issue syncing between 2 xboxes (series s and series x) at two different locations. Same notification, Never happened to me before.

Same problem here! Both Series X and S. Friends come online and no notifications.

Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately happens on others TV’s as well, but even if it was/is a Samsung issue Microsoft should have:

1. Owned the issue and report it to their customer base. Auto manufacturers, drug companies, and food distributors etc ALL routinely send out notifications to owners and the general public regarding product defects/ recalls, etc. Microsoft never does

2. Samsung is one of the biggest TV manufacturers in the world, Microsoft should be working hand-in hand with Samsung for a solution if it truly is a Samsung issue

3. ONLY the Xbox-Series X has this issue, No other, including the Series S which is the “little brother” of the Series X
