Series S not reserving right amount of space when installing a game

I understand you need help on your storage space issue.

Just a heads up that there are certain games that would take up more storage space than the actual installation numbers. This is because of some certain updates to the game. 105GB is just the installation of the game but that does not have any updates yet, this is why once you get the game updated, it will take more space than the actually installation.

Almost forgot - is the Reserve space just for patches? Or like a Windows page file? Or possibly both depending on needs/code of the installed title(s)?

It's sort of like a Windows page file. When you clear the file. It'll be automatically recreated when you launch the game. When testing new games, a lot of the time the reserved space will need to be cleared if a bug arises during the
testing.

Hopefully clearing the reserved space will help your console with the stuttering issue that you're experiencing.

I have a 1TB SSD installed in the back of my Series X, the official one. The setup was seamless as it was when I added one to my wife's Series S a while back.

The issue is that the Game Pass app for iOS doesn't recognise that my series X has the extra storage. So when I am trying to install games via the app I am being asked to make space, when I have tons left.

No such issues with the series S, the extra space is recognised.

Call of duty has reserved the space on your hard drive

if you're running an Xbox series S, it will take up almost half your storage

Also check that the system doesn't have alot of games ready to be installed on the far right side of the Games section under My Games and Apps. Sometimes it reserves space to faster install deleted games back.
