Series S not opening games or store in China

Hi, I'm currently using an Xbox Series S in China and I can't open any games or the Microsoft store anymore (Error 0x80072efd and Error 0x80072ee2).

I can download games no problem but they don't open.

It says to check the network but when I go into the internet settings it says all services are available apart from UPnP not successful. Download speeds are about 95Mbps.

I have changed the UpnP settings on the router to allow but still can't open anything.

Also tried a full console reset just in case but again, no luck.

Everything was working fine 3 days ago and could purchase games from the Australian store without any issues.

Any suggestions?

you mention you are in China, but also mention purchasing games from the Australian store.

As far as I'm aware it's officially not supported to purchase items from one store and try to use them in a different location, so that may be a possible cause. Both error codes seem to be related to connection issues, so there might also be something wrong with the connection, but that may also be caused by mixing regions and purchases.

Best thing to check is to what region is your console set to in the settings, does it match your physical location and what region your account is connected to. For things to work properly, physical location, should match the console region and your account region.

Due to the UK lockdown store's will be closed....

I can't find any info on any UK store's opening at midnight for Xbox Series X/S

However, GAME.CO.UK high street store's will open on Tuesday 8am to 2pm just only for the people who have in store pre-orders, to get and pick up their Xbox Series X/S.

Thats because the series x cannot be used for game streaming

You SHOULD not be using legacy insiders hub on series x or s

It is meant for Xbox one

The os updates are only for xbox one so are the beta tests and xcloud Is NOT supported in China only south korea

The preview is over for other regions so you wouldn't be able ro use extended regions anyways

You would have to purchase the game digitally in order to be able to play it on the Series S.

Game saves are stored on the cloud and will resync when you start the game on the Series S.

If they're Series S/X games or enhanced games, they can only run on the internal hard drive or the Seagate expansion card made for the Series S/X. A regular external drive can be used to store the games if you're not playing them and store/play older games.
