Series S DOA Inquiry

Purchased a brand new Series S from Best Buy last week. Just took it out if the box last night. Plugged it in and it’s DOA. Tried multiple outlets, tried a different power cord, etc. Nothing! Would you recommend I return it to Best Buy (who’s currently OOS) or send in for repair? Thanks in advance. #frustratedinMN

You gotta remember malls have a quarantine period now shipping and receiving

You can replace the console after going thru the troubleshooting steps thru xbox support but for refund you have to go thru your retailer

Keep in mind if you do try refund it could.be months with the global chip shortage affecting everything

Hello, I would return it right back to Best Buy. Just make sure you are within the return time.

Thanks for your quick reply. So Xbox will send me a different console, or they’ll repair instead? I’m fine with them replacing, just frustrated that a brand new device is DOA. What kind of turnaround time do you think I’m looking at? Also, do you have a direct link for support? Thanks again.

What about the DOA series? Not a single installment (except for DOA 5: Last Round) is backwards compatible.
