Series S can’t update and won’t show any Wifi networks.

Do you have an Ethernet cable that we can try to use?

Also, please perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

I tried to do the offline system update but it won’t go throw due to the fact that you need some kind of network after a while. It won’t recognize any type of network nor Ethernet cable. It doesn’t seem to recognize any wifi or anything, just stuck

Thankyou for the response, I have other things connected to my WiFi and are having no issues with them so my WiFi is on and working, I even pulled out my Xbox one and it’s having the same issues, I’ve reset my Xbox series s, and It won’t even let me finish the setup stages because it just simply won’t connect.

I have the same question has anyone figured it out . I also bought a Xbox series s and I also have to live in extended stay America and it won’t pick up the WiFi or load atleast . How can I get connected to there WiFi

Make sure your router's security settings are compatible with the Xbox Series S. You may want to try temporarily disabling the security or creating a separate network specifically for your console if your router has multiple network options.

Try forget your network on your Xbox Series S and setup your network from scratch on your Xbox, this might help.
