    Series S: Blurry movement / motion smear across ALL games + UI after latest Xbox update


    After last week’s Xbox update, my Series S suddenly has a weird blurry / smeary look anytime anything moves. This is NOT motion blur from games — it happens even in the Xbox dashboard and settings menu, which don’t have motion blur at all.

    What I’m seeing: • Everything is sharp when still • The moment I move the stick or camera, the image goes soft and smeary • Text in the UI blurs while scrolling • Happens in every game and the entire OS

    What I’ve already tried: • Hard reset + unplugging the console • Factory reset (remove everything) • Disabled ALLM, VRR, YCC, 50Hz • Tried 1080p and 1440p • Multiple TVs/monitors, HDMI cables, and controllers

    Revert/Rollback/Downgrade Xbox Controller Firmware. There is a way to do this!!! (FULL guide with pics)

    im on firmware 5.11.3118.0 for xboxc series S controller - latest, been on for weeks, before the problems with constantly disconnecting & reconnecting to the console after the latest console update about 2 weeks ago.

    tried the controller firmware rollback via xbox assist, when you check the firmware it just says something went wrong - its on the latest firmware.......

    Voice commands are always available across all gaes Davey, so you can still use the UI with voice, it's only the infra red and motion stuff that gets re allocated. My comparison comment wasnt directed your way.

    The thing is a game can start fine but then the textures don’t get beyond blurry it’s not all textures usually the ones on rock or mountains or maybe your gun and armour as this is not just happening to me and in various games there must be a common bug in the series s software consoles get updates to their software drivers ect for issues maybe this is one
