Sent Xbox for repair, Microsoft cancelled warranty

My original warranty expired in dec 2023, but it’s expired already after I had to send it back to Microsoft last week, when it was faulty, it shouldn’t have expired.

I’ve checked the warranty and it only says that a warranty lasts for one year, but it hasn’t even been a year, it doesn’t say anywhere that the warranty is voided if a request for a repair is made, if this next Xbox is also fault I’ll have to pay out of pocket when my warranty didn’t expire!

Is it possible that the warranty is tied to the serial number and you are getting a replacement Xbox with a new warranty?

my xbox was sent to microsoft to be repaired and they have cancelled the repair without me approving it. the tray to my xbox360 is not working at all .

Its elite 2 controller i sent it to Microsoft repair center under warranty its had warranty tell 2025 after it got repaired the warranty just expired how does that happen

Hi Jupetzi! Sorry to say, but you probably have a bad DVD drive. Now because you cracked it open, the warranty is now voided and cannot be sent in for a repair per the Warranty agreement. Sadly Microsoft does not attempt to repair tampered, modded, or
banned consoles. If your console is sent in for repair it will be sent back to you.
