Sent my Xbox One X in for a minor noise repair under warranty - UPS dropped off a pancake...

Let me start by saying I am borderline OCD with my electronics. I keep my machines well dusted and wires organized. So when I sent this Xbox in for a warranty repair for some loud electrical whining, I wrapped this thing in enough bubble wrap to turn a blade. No way it was getting damaged during shipping.

UPS: "Hold my beer."

When repairs opened it up, it had been smashed so hard the back popped off. I was furious, but only because I got an email saying they were sending it straight back without even explaining why. The first guy I talked to hung up on me after 25 minutes of holding, the next person I called said they would start an investigation since they took pictures, and that they would file a claim with the shipping company.

I called back, the first person hung up on me again after waiting on hold (nice), the next two people I talked to said I would be the one who has to file a claim with UPS, which they would not even let me do that until I receive whatever was left of my Xbox, so courteously shipped back from Microsoft via FedEx.

Thing is, I could have shipped my Xbox in a vault with six inches of styrofoam and gyroscopic balancing, because I didnt pay to have UPS ship it themselves, they almost will assuredly deny whatever claim I have.

TLDR: UPS smashed my machine, I have three months of warranty and 9 months of Game Pass left, and no Xbox, and no assurances it will be replaced by anyone.

And it's a One X btw, they dont even make those anymore.

I know it's not Microsoft's fault, but I trusted this whole process and now I might be done gaming for a long, long long time, because getting that console was not easy for me financially.

Is there anyone reading this that can throw me a rope here, or am I just SOL?
