Sending Xbox Messages has a long delay

I have done some more research into it, it happens when you send a message, the messege will be stuck on "Sending" even though it is sent. If you go off and on the chat, it will show the current message, but you wont get any notifications

There is a weird 3 hour delay whenever an xbox one user sends a message to an xbox 360 player. Strangley if the xbox 360 user sends a message to an xbox one user it will show immediatley. I first found out about this glitch because my xbox g.f. was asking
why it took me so long to respond. We later figured out it was because this unfixed glitch. You can forcibly send the delayed messages in 2 ways; if another xbox360 user sends you a message it wil send the delayed message at the same time. The other method
is to send yourself a message (yes this is possible) when you recieve your own message it will also send the delayed message as well.

*Im not sure if this is true for everyone or just a glitch on me particularilly.

Im having the exact same problem, i dont know what todo, when i send a message, it will go through, but it will have a long delay and not show up for a long period of time

Are you still having issues with sending messages or has the issue cleared up for you? It's possible there was a delay in being able to send messages if the account was just created. Keep us in the loop and let us know

When you say you can't send messages from which device are you having issues?

How long has it been since the last time you were able to send a message?

Have you tried sending from the xbox app, from a PC or xbox.com?
