Sending clips via Xbox Console Companion Issues

When I made the switch to pc from xbox, a lot of my friends are still on xbox. a couple on pc. ive noticed that when they share clips to me, im unable to view them in the xbox console companion or the xbox game bar. The only way ive found to watch their
clips is to get back on my xbox, use the mobile app, or go to gamedvr.com/search gamertag/captures and go that route. Am i missing something, or is xbox console companion not capable of viewing my friends clips in the messages?

I didnt get any pop up error code. the only things that are abnormal is that it says "shared content" "this message contains unknown content"

never does it actually show the clip that was sent or recieved

I have reset it, however when i go to the chat, instead of the clip being there is says "shared content" in text. nothing else

You should be able to see shared content with the Xbox Companion App (game bar does not allows this), make sure your app is updated and if that doesnt work try reseting the app.

Windows key > Search: Xbox console companion > right clic> app settings> reset.

edit and share clips on Windows 10.

Note In March of 2020 the option to upload images and game clips from the Xbox Console Companion (Beta) app was permanently removed. You’ll need to upload images and game clips from the non-beta version of the Xbox Console Companion
app.
