  1. Sending Audio through Xbox Controller 3.5 port.

Hello, I am trying to send audio through my xbox one x controller wirelessly on Windows 11, When I connect it with a wire I can get audio to come through it. When I unplug it I cannot get audio to come out off it. I am trying to play a game on a tv while having the audio sent through my controller to a wired headset. My computer recognizes the controller as a Bluetooth xbox controller.

Sending Audio through Xbox Controller 3.5 port.

    Hello Mason,

Good day! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

We understand that you’re trying to send audio through your Xbox One X controller wirelessly on Windows 11. Let's try some steps to fix the issue however just a heads up, here at Microsoft Community forums, we only have limited tools in case the steps fail, we may need you to reach Xbox Live Support for further assistance.

To send audio wirelessly through your Xbox One X controller on Windows 11, you will need to make sure that your controller is connected to your PC via Bluetooth. Please follow these steps:

    • Turn on your controller by pressing the Xbox button for three seconds.
    • Press and hold the Pair button and your controller will begin searching for your PC with the Xbox button flashing more rapidly.
    • On Windows 11, navigate to Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
    • Select Add device > Everything else.
    • Look for Xbox One Controller and select it.
If your Windows device doesn’t detect your controller after waking up from sleep, press the Xbox button on your controller to turn it back on, or unplug it from your device then plug it back in.

If the issue persists, you might need to run a troubleshoot in PC through Settings.

    • Click on the Start menu and go to PC Settings or on your keyboard press Windows key + i.
    • Search for Troubleshoot and run it. Then on PC Settings go to System and look for Sound.
    • Check Output and under Choose where to play sound look for Xbox One Controller. Select controller and test.

If none of these step's work, you can contact Xbox Live Support for further assistance. You can reach them on this link: Contact us | Xbox Support. Click on "Contact Us" to chat with Live Support or request a callback.

We hope this helps. If you have any other questions or issues, please let me know. We are always happy to assist you.

Have a great day and happy gaming!

    Sincerely,

Xbox One S Controller on PC - horrible audio quality

Microsoft issued a statement that audio through the 3.5 audio port on the controller will NOT work with Bluetooth. That's the reason for the bad audio quality. I would wait on it and see if a future uupdate fixes this issue.

voice chat on xbox one x

    Hello again,

If you have an Xbox One Wireless Controller with a 3.5-mm port, you can connect a headset with a standard 3.5-mm jack directly to the controller. (The 3.5-mm port is a small circular port on the bottom of the controller.) Find out how to adjust your
audio settings at Use the Chat Headset with Xbox One. For more information on 3.5-mm standards, see Standards
    for audio jacks
    , below.

    Hope this helps

Mic on new controllers with 3.5mm built in Audio port

Interestingly, I can hear audio from the xbox through my earbuds, the controllers just don't seem to be sending the microphone audio to the xbox. I was under the impression that the 3.5mm port on the new controllers had both audio and mic capabilities, am
    I wrong?

I know that the microphone is sending sound to the controller and I know it's getting sent to the correct pins on the 3.5mm port...
