[Seems to be solved now] Game Pass on PC: Something went wrong Please try again later...

I have had the xbox game pass account for PC since about 10 months. The issue below started to occur today.

When I start a newly installed game for the first time (e.g. NieR:Automata BECOME AS GODS Edition):

1. Xbox Live window "Welcome back!" is displayed, containing buttons "Switch account" and "Let's play".
2. I press "Let's play", and it opens another window that is usually for granting the app access to my account information.
3. For a few milliseconds, in that window a web page appears without stylesheet (i.e. white background, text in default font) that contains buttons Yes, No, etc... These are the buttons that normally appear to confirm the app's access to my account info.
   I had to do a screen recording to catch that page (I blurred the email):
   
   
   
4. However, that web page disappears, and instead a window is shown:
   
   
   

This happens with every newly installed game.

What I have tried:

1. Install MS Edge update. It installed successfully. Did not help.
2. Ran WSReset tool. It ran successfully. Did not help.

Anyone else experiencing this?

UPD: I noted that Windows update "2021-03 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 2004 for x64-based Systems (KB5000842)" had been pending. I have installed it, rebooted, and the error disappeared.
