‘Security protocol will not work’ issue

I understand that you are experiencing issues connecting to your Wifi.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please restart both your Xbox Series S and your router. In order for both devices to be fully refresh.

And then check for Firmware Updates. Please go to System> Settings> Console info> Update.

Next is to make sure that you have a good range of your WiFi router. Walls and other obstacles can weaken the signal.

Then on your Xbox Series S, go to Settings > General > Network settings, and disable WiFi. Wait a few seconds, then re-enable it.

It is important to check for interference. Other devices like cordless phones, microwaves, and neighboring WiFi networks can interfere with your connection. Please minimize them.

After performing the steps kindly test it out if it works.

Hey guys I am having this issue after the new xbox update as well! I talked with xbox and they said to wait it out. It may be an xbox update issue.

Ok Katie - we have 2 likely and one possible issue....

1) this wireless card on your one is dying

2) the Update has a network issue - while the error you are getting isnt common it is showing up and may be related to another network item that is in testing now and will be updated in the next release or two (so next few days )

3) the less likely is your router and or network cables are going bad and need replaced
