Security CRAP

Tonight, my 13 year old boy lets me know he is having a problem with signing into his X box live account. So, I go into the room and try to help him and after I try to verify my account by "adding" another email/phone number, it locked me out of the account
for 30 days. So, I contact Xbox and talked to a guy whom didn't really understand what I was saying yet told me with my son next to me that if my son made another account, he would give him a free month of play because it locked me out. As soon as I figured
that for us to make that account, I would have to make another email and I didn't want to do so. Then the guy I was talking to didn't really want to give me that free month token. Then, he asked his supervisor and told me he would email me the code, then
his supervisor got on the phone and denied me that token. I don't think you should tell someone, especially a child that you will do something and not do it. I don't think my son should have to suffer because it wouldn't let me use the email that is associated
with that account and my number was an old one. I think you should have a better/easier way to be able to process new info that you get. When I called, they should of been able to verify my account with me. Maybe you will soon want a social security number
because, people can hack into just about anything now days. He has had this account for about 5 years now so I don't get why now. I hope you will get this figured out and hopefully it will not take a month to get my account un-frozen.

Can you still sign-in to the account on the PC? If so try verifying your security proofs through the PC. Follow this link and click on "Manage your security info" and sign-in to verify them:

Security crap

Every time I turn on my console it wants me to add and verify a new security proof, I have added over 17 emails and ten phone numbers in the last month and it won't recognize that I have verified any. I'm getting really angry cause I paid for my live in
advance and I haven't been able to use it for months because of this garbage!!

 

Usually when that message pops up, I hit the xbox home button and re sign in to bypass it... its a hassle that doesn't make sense. Im about fed up with xbox.
