second xbox for students cannot access gamepass downloaded games.

I have an xbox at home and one in my classroom for students to use during game club. How can I set up the xbox so that it can be played- including gamepass games if i am not there? I set up an account for them in my family, but they cannot access downloaded
games unless I sign in.

I do not want to set up the class xbox as home as I want my own kids to be able to play at home when the schools are closed.

As everyone said, designating the console for Game Club as the Home console is the way to go.

I believe setting the console as "home" is the only way to share Gold and GamePass benefits.

The only way they can play the gamepass games is if the Xbox is set as your Home box or if you as the owner of the gamepass signs in. I have this problem at my house. If I'm on my home xbox playing Sea of Thieves and my son signs me in to play the same
game on my other xbox it will force me to stop playing that game on my Home box. If he signs me in to play other games though it still works fine.

Very simple. You can have only one box as your home. Only way on another console is to play with your account.

Setting the home Xbox to the Xbox within the classroom will make that console able to play the games from the game pass through any account.

This will however make it so only the account that had purchased the game pass will be able to access those game from any other console, this will not be a problem if you only plan to use the one account anyway but could be problematic if you use multiple.
