Second XBox Console at Home

I bought a new Xbox One Console for my Son.

I Already added him to my Family, so we can share my account by giving him his own Username.

But I also want him to play Online with me which is actually not possible.

I bought the new XBox with a Fortnite Bundle so that we can play together.

Do I really have to create him his own Microsoft Account including his own XBox Live Account?

Or is there Any Way for both of us to play Online (Fortnite and FIFA 19) with each other by using my "Family" Account?

Game sharing?

I have a console upstairs and my dad has one downstairs, can I have both consoles as my home because I have a second account, as my dads console is my home xbox my second accout on my console cannot utilize the games I have on my main. So can I have both consoles as my home, thank you for your help people.

Purchasing content on a different console

Just looking for some quick clarification. I want to buy a new Xbox One game digitally and I don't have access to my home console. If I buy and play it on a second console, is that software now licensed to that second console, or is it homed to the my
main console like my other digital games and accessible to anyone who wants to play on my home console?

Are there any restrictions on buying content on a second console that would limit it's availability on my home console?

Hi there,

an Xbox Live Account is for one person identity on Xbox Live, so Yes that means that in order for you two to play games on seperate consoles at the same time requires for you both to have a unique Xbox Live Account (and Microsoft Account)

A Family isn't one account it's a collection of accounts for where parent accounts can control certain features for the child accounts to do.

You can however share your games and subscriptions across a console, via the Home console setting, an account can set 1 console as their Home console, on which the accounts subscriptions and digital owned games can be shared. For more information on the

Hello! By second guest, you mean setting a second Xbox (Xbox C) to your home Xbox (Xbox A), then you cannot.

If this helps at all:

If Xbox B has Xbox A set as their Home Console, only Xbox B can be set as Home Console. Attempting to set Xbox C to Xbox A's home console will set it to the Home Console, but Xbox B will lose its home console access.

The Game Pass Ultimate subscription would only affect Game Pass games. Digital games can be shared. Disc games can be shared, but not the same way and require that the disc be in the console in order to play the game. The console has to be able to check
that you have a license to use the game. That's what the disc provides. So since his console is all digital, he would not be able to use the disc to prove he owns the game.
