First you need 2 consoles, fortnite doesnt have split-screen.

You can share the account (games and subscriptions).

First, on both consoles you need to add both accounts.

On your console, with yours son's account logged in, go to settings , personalization, my home xbox and choose "This is my home xbox". Then go to your son's console and do the exactly same thing but with your account.

To play together in-game, on fortnite menu, one of them needs to invite the other to play. If you do account share you only need one subscription on one account. The another just receives all features and games from the another account.

Oh, you can throw them. But they'll be duds until the timer has ran out.

Still has the problem Xbox told him as well its more likely to be the TV and not the xone as the two zones he has both work fine on two other TVs he's has a Sony TV not sure what model he does have a post here about it he's name is Haynes 1515*
