Second profile missing after logging in to new Xbox

Hi, we've bought my stepson a new Xbox for Xmas. We've signed into my husbands Xbox account as his son used to use a secondary profile set up under here, but there's no secondary profile showing. How do we get access back to the second profile? My stepson spent a lot of time and money getting his profile how he wanted it and it seems to have all gone.

you have to sign into the 2nd profile, thats how its added to a xbox. I have 2 xbox, each one has my main account and a secondary account which both has to be signed in.

Make sure you have logged into the correct account on your console. Also, make sure with your old console that your account data and the profiles you have added to them are correctly synchronized.

If you have more than one profile saved to your account, you can change profiles by following these instructions. Please note that if this was a guest profile, it will be deleted when the host logs out of their account:

On Xbox Series X/S or Xbox One:

- Press the Xbox  button to open the guide.

- Select Profile & System and then select Add or Change.

- Choose the profile you want to change to.

- Enter the password to sign in to the Microsoft account for the new profile.

To do it on Xbox 360:

- On your Xbox 360 console, go to Social, then select Sign in or Sign Out.

- Select your profile to log in.

- Select Continue and then sign in to the Microsoft account to get the new profile.

If the problem persists, make sure you have an internet connection, and restart your console.

Hello - The way to make this work is to have one kid play on the home Xbox. You can then log into the second Xbox on with your profile and the second kid can then log into that second Xbox will be able to access the Family share features.

While the second kid is on the second Xbox you can't log into your profile on the home Xbox or it will stop the Second xbox from using the features.

We have a similar setup and use this all the time.

i tried the restart and than i was automatic logged in and after 5 second it logged out and I'm back again with my trouble is my profile banned or something ?

After this error, I logged into Xbox Live and there were new agreement terms to accept. Once I did that, I was able to import my profile on a new Xbox.
