Second hand Xbox 360 has parent control on

please help,

We have bought a second hand cbox360 and the lady who sold it can’t remember any information to help me unlock the parent control pin

It’s asking a security question of what’s favourite movie but the lady doesn’t know, she says her husband doesn’t remember setting anything up but the problem is we can’t play our games.

We’ve tried all the sequence codes found online to try unlock it with no joy.

How can we unlock this?

I am still in touch with the person who sold me it if it’s anything they can do remotely....

Parental control

Hi there

We bought a second hand xbox 360 and it has parental control locked on. How do I get rid of this?

Ive looked up you Tube and followed the instructions but it doesnt work.

Turning off Parental Control

I've bought a second hand xbox 360 on ebay but the previous owner has the parental control set up. I don't know the password or the answer to the security question. Anybody know how to turn it off?

If the console is registered to your account, you can follow the steps here to reset the code remotely

https://support.xbox.com/xbox-360/security/forgotten-parental-controls-pass-code

Otherwise you'll need to reach out to support directly to assist you in resetting the code.

You can go here to get the phone number of support in your
region.

Hi there,

in order to reset a family passcode you can go to
http://account.microsoft.com/devices and if the console shows there, use the actions to try and reset the pass code.

If the console doesn't show there, which can be the case since it's second hand then you will need to contact Xbox Support.

They will need the serial ID of the console and will do something on their end, after which they will guide you through the steps to reset it on your end.
