    Seagate Expansion Card - Fixed yet?


    Hello Insiders!

    I have a question.

    When the Seagate expansion was released there was a known issue that booting the system with the card installed would cause the system to “hang”, make a buzzing sound and then reboot and a soft reset would cause the system to reboot but lose WiFi and insist that an Ethernet connection existed when in fact, it did not.

    Has this been fixed? I keep watching the update notes and I see it isn’t on the known issues post anymore but none of the patches/updates have seem to specifically addressed this issue.

    Here is the issue per Microsoft:

    Known issue: Powering on a console with a Seagate Storage Expansion Card connected to it can result in a loss of network connectivity for both wired and wireless networking. Network settings show that the console is connected to a wired network, regardless of whether the console is connected, but no network connectivity will be present.

    Did you buy the Seagate expansion card or a Seagate hard drive? The arrows mean the games are on a device that can't run them and they need to be moved back to the internal drive in order to play them. If what you bought is not the Seagate expansion card, it won't run those games, it'll only store them.
